Returns & Refund Policy

At Boxitt Containers, we value our customers’ satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. Our policy is designed to be fair and transparent in accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act).
1. Return Window

Standard Items: You have 14 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return for most items.

Defective Goods: In line with the CPA, if a product is materially defective, you may return it within 6 months of purchase for repair, replacement, or refund.
2. Conditions for Returns
To be eligible for a return, please ensure that:

The item is in its original condition (new/unused).

For accessories or parts, the item must be in its original packaging.

The item is not a “Non-Returnable” item (see Section 4).

You have the original proof of purchase (invoice or order number).
3. Return Process
To start a return, please follow these steps:

Assessment: For large shipping containers, we may require photos or a site visit to assess the condition or the reported defect.

Authorization: Once approved, we will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and instructions on how to proceed.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

Custom Conversions: Any container that has been modified, painted, or converted to your specific requirements.

Clearance Items: Products sold as “Final Sale” or “As-Is” (Voetstoots), provided the specific defects were disclosed at the time of sale.

Transport Fees: Initial delivery and craneage charges are non-refundable once the service has been performed.
5. Return Shipping & Costs

Change of Mind: If you are returning an item because you no longer want it, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to our nearest depot. For shipping containers, this includes the cost of specialized transport and craneage.

Defective or Wrong Item: If we delivered the incorrect item or the item is defective, Boxitt Containers will cover the cost of collection and replacement transport.
6. Refunds & Restocking Fees

Processing Time: Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of [Insert %, e.g., 10%] may apply to large equipment returns to cover inspection and handling costs.
7. Cancellations
Orders for standard units can be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund. Cancellations for custom projects after work has commenced may incur a cancellation fee to cover labor and materials already used.
